What is the French Revolution?

The French Revolution

defines the French Revolution as an event that changed the form of the regime in France, also known as the revolution of 1789, where it lasted between the years (1787-1799), but its events escalated in 1789, and from This revolution was initiated after the Comptroller of Finance, Charles Alexander de Calon, invited a meeting between the nobles, bishops, and some of the bourgeoisie, which resulted in a proposal in February 1787 to increase taxes on the people, in order to fill the deficit in the state budget.


the reasons for the French Revolution

is due to several factors, the most important of which are: the bankruptcy of France following the extravagance of King Louis XVI, and the depletion of the state treasury, which led to increased bread prices, the disease of livestock, and drought, resulting in the objection of the poor people and their revolution, and while the revolution took place, French in some factors, which caused other revolutions within Europe in the late 18th century, the greed of the bourgeois class to come to power, and the greatest impact on the collapse of the feudal system, where the well-off peasants tried to reach their material and educational status for the better, and the elimination of feudal rule was the way to do so. 

The improvement in living conditions in the country led to a decrease in the number of deaths, and an increase in population growth in France over the years (1715-1800), this was associated with increased demand for food, consumer goods, and in 1730 Europe recovered economically, and overall commodity prices increased, following the discovery of gold mines in Brazil, and in contrast, the boom in 1770, the financial crises.


The events of the French Revolution 

were the events that took place during the French Revolution in the attempt of the Legislative Assembly of France to spread revolutionary ideals throughout Europe, as the war followed a path, like the Royal Palace in Paris witnessed an attack by the Jacobite on 8/10/1792, where they arrested King Louis XVI on that day, and then executed on 1/21/1793, and his wife Queen Mary died on death nine months after the date of her husband's death. The end of the monarchy is a new beginning in the path of republican rule in France, where the Yaqba took over the National Congress of the Revolution, abolishing Christianity and adopting a new constitution for the country. More than 17,000 people were executed, while many died in prisons, and the death of Robespierre, who was killed on 7/28/1794, marked a turning point in the lives of the people who rejected the rule of terrorism. 


The end of the French Revolution 

marks the end of the French Revolution in 1802 when Napoleon Bonaparte took power in France, and he passed the new laws and dismissed his opponents without resorting to murder, and then, thanks to his overwhelming popularity, was able to be crowned as emperor, thus nullifying the French republican rule, so many associates the exact time of the end of the revolution with the date of Bonaparte's assumption of the Empire in 1804.
